Hymns and Beer: Hope

Zony Mash

Hymns and Beer is an informal, themed hymn sing sponsored by John Calvin Presbyterian Church that takes place in a secular setting. This edition's hymns are all about hope, home, and inclusion, and tips will be split between the musician and Program of Hope, a ministry for New Orleans experiencing homelessness.

Kelly is performing along with her partner Sam Garnett in the combined NOVA Chorale & Baton Rouge Symphony Chorus with orchestra under the direction of Dr. Meg Frazier, performing Faure's "Requiem" and Powell's "Cry of Jeremiah." Free, donations gratefully accepted.

GALA Festival: New Orleans Gay Men's Chorus

July 14, 2024 at 1pm

Minneapolis Convention Center

Kelly is traveling to Minneapolis with the New Orleans Gay Men's Chorus for the GALA festival. They will perform along with 122 other LGBTQIA+ choirs and 7,000 festival registrants. More info about GALA here.

Sundays @ Six: Fourth Wave Women's Choir

July 7, 2024 at 6pm

John Calvin Presbyterian Church

Kelly will be singing and playing piano for Fourth Wave Women's Choir at John Calvin Presbyterian Church. This free concert is the opening event of a 5-week concert series which Kelly manages, now in its third year.

Kelly is in the choir for Harry Potter Film Concert series, where the films are shown while a live orchestra plays the soundtrack. 

Hymns and Beer: Earth Day

Blue Ruin Speakeasy

Hymns and Beer is an informal, themed hymn sing sponsored by John Calvin Presbyterian Church that takes place in a secular setting. This edition's hymns are all about nature, and tips will be split between the musician and John Calvin's glass recycling efforts with Glassroots NOLA.

Mount Carmel Academy Chorale @ Carnegie Hall

Kelly is the collaborative pianist for Mount Carmel Academy. The Chorale has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall with the National Youth Choir and as a featured choir following their top competition placement in Spring of 2023. The Crescent City Choral Festival brings together children's choirs from all over the country. Kelly is playing with the Appalachian Children's Choir, under the direction of Chris Brown. Free and open to the public.

Zony Mash Brewery

Congregational singing of hymns about love at a local brewery to start off Pride month. A portion of musicians' tips will go towards Kelly's fundraising for the CommUNITY Rainbow Run, a 5k benefitting the onePULSE Foundation.

Brewery is kid and pet friendly. Join us for some raucous hymn singing!

Hymns and Beer: Earth Day Edition

Zony Mash Brewery

Congregational singing of Nature-themed hymns at a local brewery. Half of musicians' tips will be donated to Glassroots, an organization that turns glass into sand for use in coastal restoration projects (the city of New Orleans does not recycle glass). Brewery is kid and pet friendly, and food truck @boilsbybrad will be present. Join us for some raucous hymn singing!

Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra: Classical Christmas
