ABOUT KELLY

Kelly Cuppett is a pianist and board-certified music therapist from Tampa, Florida. She studied piano with Dr. Grigorios Zamparas at the University of Tampa, where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. Kelly moved to New Orleans to pursue a Master of Music Therapy at Loyola University New Orleans, and has clinical experience in a variety of settings from hospitals to community groups. She also earned a Master of Music in Performance at Loyola, studying piano with Dr. Brian Hsu, Dr. Mi-Eun Kim, Dr. Xiting Yang, and Dr. Peter Collins.

Kelly is active in New Orleans’ classical music scene as a pianist, accompanist, and chorister. She has over fifteen years of experience in music ministry, and can be found on Sundays at John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Metairie. Kelly is available for wedding ceremonies, funerals, private parties, and accompaniment.

 

Kelly is one of the few music therapists in the southeastern United States trained to give the MATADOC, a diagnostic music therapy assessment for patients suffering from disorders of consciousness. Ask her about music therapy, or visit musictherapy.org for more information.
